Low Level Programming Sessions Summary 16
13th February
There isn't too much to talk about this blog session as we mostly did practical work regarding networking. We got our latest assignments for low level programming.
We have to use a new version of dungeon death to create a MUD server and chat client which can then play a networked game. In essence, we're yeah... making a MUD from dungeon death. That said, not a lot of us have actually got a chat client and a server even running yet and I am a little unsure on the specifics of what we need to accomplish, though I am sure when I see the specification I will be enlightened.
We mostly did gitlab stuff, which is a new code repository system yet again. It's neat to be able to do it from within visual studio, but it is tricky.
We're going to have to build in a good solid event driven system to communicate with the server and client in able to do the program.
Otherwise, that was it for this session really. I hope to get on with the coursework soon.
